clapping music redux

An homage to Steve Reich’s piece. I listened to a YouTube video of Clapping Music showing the graphical representation of what’s going on with this piece, and re-constructed the pattern played by the two performers.

Tuplets with a moving rest that remains stable for performer A and increments one step forward each measure for performer B. Syncopation! Insanity really. I used Native Instruments “Maschine” beat looping software/hardware to program the beats and perform a more automated version of Steve Reich’s early minimalist piece. Inspired by this video.
